This is our third bottling for 2017. It's a single cask Tamdhu, full of the delicious flavours that white oak brings to a malt.

This Tamdhu was matured in an ex bourbon cask, then briefly finished in two smaller barrels which had previously held American whiskey.

Our tasting note:

nose: Light, fresh, airy, and sweet (kinda like the caramel from inside of a Mars bar, but not chocolate-y). There's also the classic Quercus Alba note of syrup and coconut tart. With water it becomes much more creamy and honeyed.

palate: The attack is golden syrup that's been stored in a tin made of American oak, which moves into a drying, malty finish. With water it softens out nicely, and the malt takes on a savoury aspect, rather like brewers yeast.
