Taste, don't just drink!

We believe in trying new things and learning about them. What better way to do so than having a tasting with us, some quality libations and other likeminded souls?

It's about broadening horizons and quality, not quantity; drinking less but drinking better.

Our purpose-built tasting room can accommodate up to 30 people for our regular tasting nights as well as ad-hoc tastings for private groups. We can cater for hen and stag parties, birthdays, corporate gatherings and general events. We can also come to your office or workspace. We have run large-scale tastings and classes for up to 300 people at venues such as the Lighthouse and Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

To buy tickets for any of the following tasting nights please pop into the store or call 0141 258 8427. All tasting tickets are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please note that tickets can not be reserved without payment and tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

New tastings are announced at the start of each month. There is usually a discount available on the bottles tried on the night.

Gin Tasting - Saturday 22nd September 2018

Another week, another new gin distiller. How are you meant to keep up? By coming to our gin tasting, that's how. Taste six of the latest and greatest on our shelves, explore their flavours, botanicals, and stories, and enjoy a welcome cocktail specially devised for the occasion.

Kilchoman Whisky Tasting - Monday 24th September 2018 - SOLD OUT

We're very pleased (and honoured!) to say that, as part of their Land Rover Tour 2018, Kilchoman Distillery will be bringing their whiskies to Glasgow for you to try. For this event your ticket can be redeemed against the purchase of any of the drams tasted on the night.

Whisky Tasting - Friday 28th September 2018

Join us to sample six whiskies chosen from amongst the new releases on our shelves. If you've never been before: expect six fine malts in a variety of styles (although, if we've found an exceptional blend or grain whisky, we'll not miss the chance to share it with you).

Buffalo Trace Tasting - Tuesday 2nd October 2018

Drew Mayville, Master Blender for Buffalo Trace, will be here to present a selection of fine American whiskies - including at least three bottles from this year's Antique Collection, some of the most sought after in the world of whisk(e)y.
Everyone who attends this event will have a second entry in our annual lottery to buy one of the bottles from our allocation of the 2018 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. Really, it's a no brainer: taste some fabulous whiskies and double your chances of owning one of them.

Angostura Rum Tasting - Thursday 4th October 2018 - SOLD OUT

We're very pleased to have our third guest rum tasting in as many months - this time it's Sean Duprey bringing the wonderful Angostura rums from Trinidad & Tobago.
For this event your ticket can be redeemed as a voucher against the purchase of any rum tasted on the night.

West End Whisky Tasting - Thursday 4th October 2018

We return to Partickhill Community & Bowling Club for another whisky tasting, featuring a range of six top notch malts chosen from amongst the latest arrivals and staff favourites on our shelves. Tickets (price £25) can be obtained from our shop at 21 Clarence Drive or by calling 0141 334 4312.

Sherry Tasting - Saturday 6th October 2018

In advance of International Sherry Week our resident Sherry Educator Shane will be selecting a range of sherries covering all the stylistic bases as he leads you on a hedonistic journey through the wines of Jerez.

Rare & Old Whisky Tasting - Thursday 11th October 2018

Angus MacRaild, whisky writer and former whisky auction specialist, returns with another selection of drams from bygone days. Taste six whiskies that you'll never see on the shelves again and discover how whisky tasted in the past.

Cider Tasting - Friday 19th October 2018

Craft cider might not be in the same league as craft beer, but it is most definitely on the up. In what will be only our second ever cider tasting, we'll be sampling across our small but carefully curated range, with ten different ciders for you to try.

Gin Tasting - Saturday 20th October 2018

What would our tasting schedule be without a Gin event? That's right, pointless! We'll be exploring the enduring popularity of this finest of spirits whilst tasting six fine examples chosen from the current staff favourites and new arrivals on our shelves. Not forgetting the cocktail with which we welcome you to the event.

Ardbeg Whisky Tasting - Thursday 25th October 2018 - SOLD OUT

Such is the stature of Ardbeg that this tasting is sure to sell out in jig time. If you don't like peaty whisky, you can safely stay away, otherwise get on the phone right now.

South African Wine Tasting - Friday 26th October 2018

We've chosen South Africa as the theme for October's wine tasting simply because we're seeing so many new, interesting wines coming to us from the Cape. Join us to taste eight chosen from the selection on our shelves at West Nile Street and Clarence Drive.

The Good Cocktail Club - Saturday 27th October 2018

Cocktail Club returns with a selection of contemporary and classic mixed drinks. We'll demonstrate the making of three cocktails, and also be sampling some of the ingredients used in making the drinks. A relaxed, delicious way to spend a Saturday night.
