Chateau Tronquoy-Lalande St Estephe 2014
A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
"Another big, dark St.-Estèphe, but in spite of the rich body and some perceptible alcohol, there is also a cool, minty note. Slightly sweet finish in spite of all the tannins. Spice comes through at the end. Drink in 2020. James Suckling
Chateau Tronquoy Lalande takes its name from the family that owned the chateau in its formative years, the Tronquoy de Lalande family. Chateau Tronquoy Lalande underwent a complete, 10 million Euro renovation after it was purchased in 2006 by the Bouygues brothers, a significant amount considering the estate is a Cru Bourgeois. A large portion of those funds were allocated to making Chateau Tronquoy Lalande a responsible, environmental, green estate.
