The first 'standard' whisky from the reopened Glenglassaugh distillery - a rich rounded Highland malt.
After a chequered history which included lengthy silent spells, the Glenglassaugh distillery is once more active, and producing an excellent, robust, Highland whisky.
Revival is the first whisky entirely produced since reopening, and is bottled without an age statement. It's a typically Highland dram, rich and sweet, with a full bodied warming character.
Our tasting note:
The nose is sweet and sherried, with honey and dried fruit notes. The palate has more honey, along with some chocolate, plenty of rich malt, and a drying, sherry cask finish.
