Always great value for money, the James Eadie Small Batch bottlings are the ideal way to discover a new distillery. This Brackla is a vatting of three casks, one first fill ex bourbon and two recharred hogsheads. Distilled 2013, bottled 2023. Cask numbers 1596, 302353 and 302355. The outturn was 1125 bottles.
Our tasting note: a gentle nose, with notes of toffee and light oak perfume. on the palate it's sweet toffee pennies, with a lovely mouth-coating texture.
Royal Brackla is a criminally underrated distillery near Cawdor which has been quietly producing some of the best malt in Scotland since 1812.
