Provenance 'Coastal Collection' Arran 8 Year Old

An 8 year old single cask Arran from Douglas Laing's Provenance Coastal Collection.

The Provenance Coastal Collection is a series of special bottlings from Douglas Laing that selects only the finest maritime Single Cask Single Malts.

This particular bottling was distilled at Arran Distillery in June 2013, aged for 8 years in a single ex-bourbon barrel (ref. DL14961) before being bottled in June 2021. A release of 323 bottles at a strength of 46% with no colouring and no chill-filtration.

Producer's tasting notes:

"The nose opens so sweet and barley-rich initially, then comes a slight saltiness with damp wood and gentle spice. Anticipate a creamy, mouth-coatingly thick palate... vanilla, nutmeg and buttery pastry balanced by dried seaweed. The finish shows salted caramel alongside apple peel, honey and a sweet earthy quality."
