Kilchoman's second official Fino sherry matured release, this 2023 edition was matured for a minimum of five years in twenty fino sherry butts previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin.
Kilchoman's tasting notes: "Maturation in ex-fino sherry casks has given the whisky layers of minerality, oak and maple syrup which pair nicely with the natural citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke of Kilchoman."
Nose: Fresh citrus notes with peated malt and butterscotch sweetness.
Palate: Honeycomb sweetness, light peat smoke, flaked almonds and candied fruits.
Finish: Lasting sweetness balancing with subtle peat smoke and citrus.
Natural colour. Non chill filtered.
