The Balvenie distillery has for many years focused on producing complex, full-flavoured whiskies with an emphasis on well balanced cask flavours; the 12 Year Old Doublewood being the classic example and their flagship whisky.
With the Caribbean Cask the whisky has taken a lighter. sweeter path. Fresh fruit notes are more to the fore, and a lush vanilla note underscores the rounded malty spirit. Delicious - and delicious over ice too!
