Tomintoul 2006 15 Year Old Port Finish

This limited edition 15 year old from Tomintoul was distilled in 2006 and initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in Port pipe casks from Portugal to give rich fruit flavours.

Producer's tasting notes...

Nose: Maraschino cherries and cooked fruits mingled with tonka bean, flaked chocolate and cedar spices.
Palate: Sweet and luscious with layers of cherry liqueur chocolates, rhubarb crumble and ginger biscuits bound with baking spices.
Finish: Warming notes of dark chocolate, sultanas and mocha fading into a clove and cinnamon glow.

Natural colour. Not chill-filtered.
