Provenance Balmenach 2013 8 Year Old

From independent bottlers Douglas Laing, this single cask Balmenach was distilled in October 2013, matured in an ex bourbon barrel (cask ref. DL15655) and bottled in March 2022. A release of 355 bottles.

Balmenach is lesser seen as a stand-alone single malt, due to its usage as a constituent in blends, and independent bottling like this are the only way to try the traditional Speyside distillery's spirit.

Producer's tasting notes:

Nose: Milk chocolate, pistachio nuts and fresh lime skin shavings.
Palate: Sweet malt, gentle dried ginger and honeycomb.
Finish: Long with icing sugar, cream cakes and sweet baked brioche.

No chill filtration. No colouring.
