
A single cask Craigellachie matured in a sweet wine cask from south-west France, hence the reference to Gascony.
The other part of the name is a reference to the distinctive bridge across the Spey close to Craigellachie, which was designed by Thomas Telford, and features in many, many whisky selfies.
Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh is a sweet wine made in south-west France. As with many of the wines from that region, the grape varieties are obscure, which perhaps explains why the wines are not as well known as they perhaps ought to be.
