The story goes that Distillery Manager Callum Fraser found a parcel of casks approaching their 35th birthday during one of his regular visits through the distillery's warehouses, and once they were tasted it was decided to create this first 35 year old expression from the distillery.
Glenfarclas's tasting notes:
Colour: Deep amber with hints of dark gold
Nose: Reminiscent of roasted almonds, dried dark fruits and creamy toffee.
Flavour: Sherried fruit, dark chocolate and raisins.
Finish: A lingering aftertaste of cinnamon and cocoa powder creating a warm decadent finish.
Natural colour.
